URGENT APPEAL FOR FOSTER HOMES
Yet again, I am urgently appealling for people to come forward and offer their help with fostering unwanted dogs, especially collie experienced people. The problem we have with foster homes is that our dogs are so gorgeous, people foster them and then can't let them go - end of foster home! We have gone through hundreds of foster homes over the years and the same thing happens, people foster a couple of dogs then fall in love with one of them and never foster again. Whilst we are glad of a good home, keeping dogs and never being able to foster again results in us having to say no to poundies. Inevitably this means they die. It really is that simple nowhere to put them and we have to leave them. Have a look at Monaghan pound (Monaghand.ie and go under dogs found, caution they often put pictures up of dead dogs) - around 30 dogs a week are going in and no rescue can cope with this volume of dogs. It is just one Irish pound and we deal with around 5.
We would love to hear from you if you have collie experience as they can be tricky to place. Have you done obedience or agility and could you help?

CAN YOU HELP US SAVE MORE LIVES?
The dogs pictured above are a transport run from Ireland. They are scared and confused. We need caring, dedicated people living close to Royston, Herts, to foster these dogs. These dogs cannot go into kennels as they have already endured a 17hour journey. They crave love and reassurance.
There are other dogs that we do not want to admit to kennels. For example they may be elderly or very young puppies or simply in need of putting on weight or benefit from training within a home environment. Ideally, we would like to foster all our dogs out as the benefits are immense.
We will provide food, training crates, all the equipment you could possibly need and cover all medical bills.
You need to be an experienced dog owner, patient, caring and have no young children in the home. Your premises needs to be secure to prevent escapees.
If you feel you would like to join our team of foster carers then give us a call or just call to find out more. We always endeavour to find a dog that will fit in with your circumstances. For example, if you work for a few hours, we would give you an older, quieter dog. If you have children we would give you a young and playful dog. We can get almost any type of dog to fit your requirements so just give us a call and give it a try.
The rewards are immense.
